Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Assess patients’ oral health and document findings accurately in the patient management system (Dentrix).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments as needed, providing support in general dentistry procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
