Essential Duties:
Attend morning huddles to set the tone for the day with the team.
Welcome and seat patients with a cheerful attitude.
Set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures.
Review and update patient health history, chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance.
Perform head and neck/oral cancer exams.
Capture, process, and download x-rays for the doctor to review (ability to interpret x-rays independently).
Assess patients through exams, records, and medical history to assist in diagnosing dental hygiene problems.
Recognize early signs of periodontal disease and utilize laser therapy and arrestin therapy to treat it.
Apply fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents.
Educate and motivate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive measures.
Assist patients in scheduling appropriate re-care appointments and restorative treatments.
Participate in sterilization duties.
