Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient files, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Provide patients with pre- and post-operative care instructions as directed by the dentist.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as necessary and ensure proper handling of medical imaging equipment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the clinic.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and managing medical coding when required.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a dental clinic is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and medical records management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is essential.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant coursework is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.46 - $21.53 per hour
