OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our dental office, providing exceptional support to both patients and dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental software for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of medical coding and dental terminology is highly desirable.
Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to general dentistry practices.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems.
Ability to manage medical records efficiently while ensuring patient confidentiality.
Certification in X-Ray technology is an asset.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
