Registered Dental Hygienist - Malek Periodontics - Glendale, AZ

Professional, family-like PERIODONTAL practice seeking a dedicated RDH to join our exceptional team! We have the best co-workers and patients! Looking for longevity, experience and commitment to growth. MUST be laser and anes. certified. This position is 1 to 2 days a week (Monday and Wednesday).

Responsibilities:
GBT certified (if not you will be trained)
 Provide superior patient care and service; exhibit outstanding customer service and hospitality as well as chair side manner.
 Take radiographs of patients using digital dental radiographic equipment
 Stay on schedule as much as possible to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for patient; be present, engaged, ready to work
 Educate patient on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care.
 Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patients chart
 Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
 Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and/or state laws:
 Screen for Oral Cancer
 Take and record patients’ blood pressure accurately
 Maintain accurate and legible notes in patients chart
Needed Qualifications:
 Valid Dental Hygienist License Minimum of 4 years of hygiene experience
 Certification for other duties as required by state practice act: Laser and Anesthesia certified
 Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Knowledge in Dentrix
 Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
 Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
