Dental Hygienist - KF Dental - Westerville, OH

OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. You will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care.
Diagnose and educate patients on periodontal disease
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental office management software, such as Eaglesoft.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, general dentistry practices, and infection control procedures.
Proficiency in using medical imaging systems and dental software applications.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on creating a positive patient experience.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
Strong communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
