Dental Hygienist job responsibilities include (not all are listed):
-Make patients feel comfortable before their examination
-Sterilize dental instruments properly and monitor supplies
-Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
-Clean and help protect patients’ teeth
-Educate patients (of all ages) on proper teeth care
-Take X-rays
-Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Requirements and skills:
-Devotion and stamina to meet the physical demands for this job
-Great communication skills and a friendly personality
-Great knowledge of the health and safety regulations in this profession (ex: HIPAA)
-Attention to detail
-A valid license to practice
-Registered Dental Hygienist (Required)
