Dental Assistant - Mermaid Dental - San Marcos, TX

Our amazing private practice is looking for an excellent Dental Assistant to join our team! We are seeking a team player, motivated to learn and grow, focused on delivering the best experience to our patients, and who enjoys dentistry!
The right person must be self-motivated, able to take direction, comfortable with change, and committed to continuing education. We work hard but believe in having a good time with each other and our guests. At least one year experience in a RDA position, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring a sterile environment.
Utilize dental terminology and 3D scanning technology to aid in patient assessments.
Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform X-rays and assist in pediatric dentistry as needed.
Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring they understand treatment plans and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Registered Dental Assistant certification
Proficient in chairside assisting and dental terminology
Experience with 3D scanners (iTero) and general dentistry practices
Knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics
Familiarity with EMR systems, including Open Dental
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
Bilingual communication skills preferred
Ability to perform X-rays and vital sign assessments

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
