Dental Hygienist - Firefly, formerly FAMILY, Inc - Council Bluffs, IA

Are you a Dental Hygienist looking for an opportunity to use your skills to help hundreds of children in our community? We want you to join our team providing preventive dental services for children in public health locations like schools, WIC clinics, Head Start centers, and child care centers. This job is ideal if you are passionate about community health and you are comfortable working independently and in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Our public health dental hygienist will provide oral screenings, fluoride varnish applications, oral hygiene instruction, silver diamine fluoride applications, and sealant applications to children; review patient health histories; document screening findings; enter information in our data system; provide care coordination assistance to set up dental appointments, and participate in community and agency events.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be an Iowa-licensed dental hygienist; have at least a year of clinical experience, have or be able to obtain public health supervision from a dentist, be able to travel within the Firefly service area, have good verbal and written communication skills, have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle; transport the Firefly mobile wellness unit to various locations and work effectively as part of a team.
Compensation:

$2500 Hiring Bonus
Wage will be discussed in interview.

Schedule - M-F (occasional events on weekends or evenings)
