Part-Time Dental Assistant - March Family Dental Care - Tinley Park, IL

Part-time (~21 hrs) dental assistant needed to join our team. 3 doctor practice with many long term team members. We are a growing fee for service practice. Looking for person with excellent people skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and on the phone. Computer skills are helpful. Experience is preferred but we will train the right person for our team. Must be available until 7 pm and some Saturday mornings. Having up to date vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccination, is a condition of employment.

Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:

Assist Dentists and Hygienists in delivering treatment.
Promote and support recommended treatment.
Build and maintain patient relationships.
Execute effective patient handoffs.
Clean, stock, and set up operatories.
Accurate record keeping in Dentrix.
Lab management and case tracking.
Sterilization and infection control.

Non-Essential Functions:

Assist front or back as needed.
Ability to answer phone if needed.
Attend recommended education courses.
Attend MFDC community and team building activities when possible.
Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the building.
Train other staff members.
Document staff member successes.
