Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Mammoth Hospital
The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/her scope of practice under the direct supervision of the dentist and the Clinic Supervisor/Manager. The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for working chair side with the dentist, Registered Dental Hygienist. The Registered Dental Assistant must be competent in all required essential job duties and proficient in required competencies. They too must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and listening skills.
What You'll Do:
Assists chair side during exams and treatments
Follows OSHA protocol in setting up and breaking down operatory
Follows all asepsis regulations for sterilization
Assist in the administration of nitrous oxide analgesia or sedation
Assists with applying restraints as directed by the dentist to include completing restraint log
Who You Are:
Excellent communicator
Detail oriented
Good interpersonal skills
Strong customer service skills
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
State of California Registered Dental Assistant license required.
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Two years Healthcare, Dental Assistant/Hygienist experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Job Information:
Full-time, variable day shifts.
Starting wage $25.49 to $30.90 based on qualifications.
