Job SummaryWe are a fun and team oriented practice seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental family. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in assisting during procedures, and the ability to maintain a sterile environment. Experience in oral surgery and dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable. Bilingual English - Spanish required. Flexible hours as needed.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
Coordinate patient treatment plans to ensure the best care possible is provided
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Record medical history and vital signs of patients accurately.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and coding, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic effectively.
Maintain supplies needed list
Assist the Front Desk: answering phones, confirming appointments, verify insurance, billing and collections
Assist with other clinical operations as needed
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of treatment plans and ability to execute
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is a plus.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to perform basic medical coding and documentation tasks accurately.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
