Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Take dental X-rays and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling and confirming visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, such as Epic.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in pediatric dentistry settings.
Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Proficiency in taking X-rays.
Knowledge of medical terminology to assist in comprehensive patient care.
Ability to monitor vital signs and assist with patient assessments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
Excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
