Summary
As a Dentist at Matagorda Episcopal Health Outreach Program (MEHOP), you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care to our diverse patient population. This position is essential in fulfilling our mission of providing quality health services while ensuring that all patients receive the care they need.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients.
Diagnose and treat dental conditions, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
Utilize aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Manage patient records accurately and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
Conduct dental extractions and other surgical procedures as necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Supervise dental assistants and support staff in daily operations.

Qualifications

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Active state dental license in Texas with no restrictions.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical records management and medical terminology is beneficial.
Proficiency in endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions is essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
