Dental Assistant/Receptionist - Polished Dental - Victorville, CA

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and friendly dental cross trained in both as a dental assistant/receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients in assisting, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations and helping in back as an assistant. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office procedures, including scheduling appointments, managing care plans, experience in dental assisting and maintaining health information management systems.
Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule and confirm appointments using computerized systems
Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of health information.
Provide support in developing and explaining care plans to patients.
Handle medical scheduling and coordinate with dental providers for efficient patient flow.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Knowledge in checking patients insurance eligibility
Experience in dental assisting

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Familiarity with health information management systems; experience with Tab32 is a plus.
Proficient in administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
Knowledge of care plans and medical scheduling processes is desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
