Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and hygiene are maintained. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental practices, including infection control and patient management, while also being proficient in medical records and imaging systems.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by examining gums, teeth, and other oral structures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as necessary.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
A degree or diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
Proficiency in using medical imaging systems and maintaining medical records is highly desirable.
