The Role:
As one of the most impactful members of our customer care team, the Hygienist is responsible for delivering the highest quality of care, demonstrating leadership, and exemplifying the culture of teamwork within the office. Our ideal candidate will be focused on service to our customers and maintaining a high-quality experience. The Hygienist should enjoy a fast-paced environment, be comfortable with the latest technology, have excellent communication skills and thrive working without direct supervision.
The position is currently 3 days per week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays 9am-5pm (1-2pm lunch hour).
The Responsibilities:
· Perform duties within the scope of practice of a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), including but not limited to performing dental hygiene screenings and cleanings
· Input and maintain up-to-date documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) and manage customer medical history records
· Perform examinations of mouth, teeth, gums, and related facial structures and treat dental problems/diseases as needed
· Maintain/sterilize medical equipment and/or instruments
· Operate diagnostic and/or therapeutic medical instruments or equipment
· Process x-rays and/or other medical images such and intraoral scans
· Provide health and wellness guidance to customers, program participants and/or caregivers
· Help ensure a clean, courteous, and professional working environment
· Provide excellent and compassionate customer care
· Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
Qualifications:
· Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program, with required RDH licensing
· 2-3 years experience in the field
· CPR/BLS Certificate
· Excellent communication skills and commitment to a high quality of care
· Strong aptitude for detail and ability to work independently
· Strong organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Positive and welcoming attitude with customers and colleagues; ability to positively influence culture
· Flexible & adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment
· Computer proficiency required
Physical Requirements:
This position may require occasional lifting of light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/facility supplies). Candidates applying for this position must also have the ability to sit and stand for periods of time.
