Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to assist in various dental specialties, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and documentation.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when necessary, including patient check-in and check-out processes.
Support the dental team in various tasks related to general dentistry, including sterilization of instruments and inventory management.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
Experience in prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, or general dentistry is desirable.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
Must demonstrate attention to detail and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
