Job Description:
As a Dental Assistant at Medical Lake Family Dental, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the dentist during dental procedures, including chairside assistance and instrument preparation.
Taking and developing dental X-rays as needed.
Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and organized.
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Recording patient information, treatment plans, and charting dental procedures accurately.
Providing exceptional customer service and creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for patients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; formal dental assistant training or certification is preferred.
X-ray certification and knowledge of dental software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix,) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to patient care.
CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
Previous is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
