Dental Hygienist - Rosinsky Family Dentistry - Edinboro, PA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in educating patients on oral health, performing preventive dental procedures, and assisting in the overall management of patient care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in four-handed dentistry by supporting the dentist during procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and disease prevention.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with infection control standards and best practices in a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
