Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Administrator with prior experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and patient service. This position requires proficiency in handling phone systems, managing health information, and maintaining accurate medical records. A strong understanding of dental terminology and documentation review is essential for success in this role.
Duties
Answer and manage incoming calls with professionalism, utilizing effective phone etiquette to address patient inquiries.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
Maintain patient records, ensuring all health information is accurate and up-to-date.
Assist with the documentation review process to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, including data entry and retrieval of medical records.
Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients, checking them in for appointments, and addressing any concerns they may have.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the office.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with phone systems and administrative procedures is essential.
Knowledge of health information management practices is a plus.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Understanding of dental terminology and medical records management will be beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to maintain accurate documentation.
