OverviewWe are seeking a part time dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist and crossover Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in Dentrix. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix and other dental software systems.
Assist with medical imaging and 3D scanning processes as needed.
Collect patient information, including vital signs, and ensure all documentation is complete.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and billing inquiries.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate four-handed dentistry during procedures.
Understand and utilize dental coding for insurance claims processing.
Stay informed about dental terminology and anatomy to assist in patient education and support.
Help with sterilization of dental instruments, launder clinic jackets, clean and disinfect rooms after patients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting is required.
Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software is required.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices is essential.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
