Dental Hygienist - Neighborhood Health Clinics Inc - Fort Wayne, IN

As a Dental Hygienist, you will: Screen and assess patients, evaluate the medical/dental history. Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information. Provide preventative oral health services as directed by dentist on staff. Provide patient education, teaches patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health and prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health. Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs. Provide monitoring and continuity of care between clinic visits as required. Assists in the sterilization and sharpening of instruments as assigned following infection control guidelines. Requirements: Experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Indiana Dental Hygienist license. Education Requirements: Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
