Job Description
Rapides Primary Health Care Center is looking for a dental hygienist who primary job is to prevent and treat gum disease and promote oral health by cleaning teeth, educating patients on oral hygiene, and performing screening for oral health issues.
Responsibilities:
· Provide oral hygiene education
· Provide scaling and polishing
· Provide oral health screenings
· Take X-rays
· Apply preventive treatments
· Document patient care in the medical record
· Review dental and health history
Requirements:
· Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program.
· At a minimum an associateâs degree which include classroom coursework and supervised clinical experience.
· Passed the National Board of Denal Hygiene Examination
Possess a Louisiana licensure as a dental hygienist
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Schedule:
Day shift
Monday to Friday
No nights
No weekends
Work Location: In person
