Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong dental assisting skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Sterilize dental instruments following OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Take and record patients' medical histories and vital signs
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Skills:- Proficiency in medical terminology- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques- Competence in dental assisting procedures- Familiarity with electronic health record systems- Experience with 3D scanners for dental imaging- Ability to take accurate vital signs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
