OverviewWe are a small, single-provider office seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8:30-4:30. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for our young patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of the patient.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain infection control throughout all procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Perform medical documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
Operate dental imaging equipment and assist with medical imaging as needed.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a pediatric setting is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology and four-handed dentistry techniques is essential.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
