Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in a dynamic dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Opentdental or Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Prepare treatment rooms by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
Support pediatric patients with care techniques tailored to their needs.
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology in assisting with various dental procedures, including Endodontics.
Skills
Proficient in using dental software systems like Opendental.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with X-Ray procedures and safety measures.
Experience in assisting within a dental clinic setting, particularly with pediatric patients.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dental practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
