Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide support to patients by explaining treatment plans and answering any questions they may have.
Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with Epic software or similar medical documentation systems is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols in a dental setting is essential.
Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with children is advantageous but not required.
