Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in using dental software and equipment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols for medical imaging.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure optimal clinic flow.
Uphold aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain patient safety.
Collaborate with team members to provide excellent pediatric and general dentistry care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Experience with X-ray technology is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Fuse is an advantage.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
A passion for providing quality care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings.
