Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive oral health, patient education, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using appropriate techniques.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed for diagnosis.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.

Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, charting, and managing patient records.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices, medical records management, and infection control standards.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and medical imaging procedures.
Experience with dental assisting is a plus but not required.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
