OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to patients while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient management.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assist in the identification of periodontal disease and other oral health issues.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure all instruments are sterilized and adhere to infection control standards.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with any medical emergencies that may arise in the office.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred; familiarity with general dentistry practices is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
Proficient in dental assisting tasks, including taking X-rays and managing patient records.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
