Warm Valley Health Care in Fort Washakie, Wyoming is a tribal dental clinic seeking a tribal hire staff dentist; all experience levels will be considered. We are a small dental clinic composed of a dental supervisor/chief dentist, one hygienist, and four assistants-nestled into six large sized operatories. Pay and benefits are strong and competitive.
The neighboring town of Lander, WY is approximately 15 minutes away from the clinic and is a popular vacation destination offering affordable living, boutique shopping, great restaurants and coffee shops, and beautiful national forest access five minutes from town. Lander is approximately 4.5hrs drive time from Salt Lake City and Billings and 5.5hrs drive time from Denver-international and regional airport access is plentiful.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide comprehensive and compassionate dental care to include diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic services to pediatric and adult patients served by Warm Valley Health Care facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide screenings, limited and comprehensive examinations.
Perform all facets of general dentistry on patients of all ages, including but not limited to restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, simple and surgical extractions, general oral surgery and general pediatric care.
Manage significantly medically-compromised patients, consulting with physicians and specialists as necessary.
Perform thorough documentation in both medical and dental electronic health records.
Keep abreast of most recent evidence-based standards of care by attending in-person CDE courses annually and completing online trainings and webinars.
Evaluate dental assistants' performance and gives real-time feedback; performs competencies and performance evaluations.
Work with dental supervisor and all dental staff in the facility, maintaining and completing dental department's mission and vision within Warm Valley Health Care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a degree of dentistry from an accredited school of dentistry
Must have a state license in dentistry
Must have knowledge of dental disease
Comprehensive knowledge of anesthetics and pharmaceuticals
Comprehensive knowledge of acceptable dental treatment plans
Extensively skilled in fitting prosthetic work involving complex problems, e.g. lack of bone support, and substantial changes in oral formation.
Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of routine and complex dental services
Extensively skilled handling patients with behavior problems
Comprehensive knowledge of supervisors' regulations and requirements
General knowledge of WVHC mission and administrative functions, to include budget.
