Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with Orthodontic Experience – Airway-Focused Pediatric Dental Office

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled, caring, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with Orthodontic Experience who is eager to learn and grow in an airway-focused practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthodontics and a passion for working with children. You will play a crucial role in assisting with orthodontic treatments that promote proper facial growth, breathing, and overall health.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist with patient care, including placing and removing orthodontic appliances, taking digital scans, and performing orthodontic adjustments.
Educate parents and patients about airway health, myofunctional therapy, and early orthodontic intervention.
Take and analyze digital X-rays, CBCT scans, and intraoral photos.
Ensure patient comfort and provide an exceptional experience during every visit.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to sterilization and infection control protocols.
Keep detailed patient records and assist with treatment planning.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking vital signs, applying topical anesthetics, and assisting with endodontic treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Assist the Lead RDA with daily patient care and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Orthodontic assisting experience required
Familiarity with airway-focused orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, or ALF/MyoBrace treatment is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to educate and engage with young patients and their families.
A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for pediatric patient care.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Summary:
As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), you will be integral to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. Reporting to the lead RDA, your core responsibilities include chairside assisting, reviewing patient documentation, and maintaining aseptic techniques. Your proficiency in dental terminology and endodontics will enhance patient experiences, while your premium skills in EMR systems and medical imaging will streamline operations. With strong organizational skills and a commitment to patient care, you will contribute significantly to our team and the overall success of our dental practice.
