Dental Assistant - Edge Endodontics - Austin, TX

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multi tasking team player with a positive attitude.
Hours are Mon- Fri 7:30am-6:00pm ( hours vary depending on demand- this means some days you may be finished earlier than 6pm and other days you may be here until 6pm)
Pay is given at a range of $16-23 per hour and is based on education and experience.
Full Time employees are eligible for PTO, Bonus, Holiday pay.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups.
Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms for patient visits.
Monitor and record vital signs when necessary.
Support various dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control procedures.
Familiarity with endodontics.
Ability to take X-rays and perform basic medical imaging tasks such as CBCT.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Punctual with an understanding that attendance is crucial.
