Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work as an exceptional team player .
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Administer local anesthesia as needed and monitor vital signs during procedures.
Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation.
Collaborate with dentists in providing pediatric dentistry services when necessary.
Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene practices.
Must be Laser Certified .
Skills
Strong patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Proficient in documentation review and maintaining accurate patient records.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is a plus, enhancing the ability to work with younger patients.
Understanding of infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Ability to take and monitor vital signs effectively during dental procedures.
Familiarity with Dentrix is preferred.
Solid grasp of medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy knowledge essential for effective practice.
