Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing excellent patient care. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and support patients throughout their dental experience.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
Perform tasks related to medical documentation, including patient records management in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and billing processes.
Conduct patient assessments by taking medical histories and noting any relevant anatomical considerations.
Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices to promote overall dental health.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, ensuring accurate representations for treatment planning.
Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential for effective patient care.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus, enhancing efficiency in documentation processes.
Experience with electronic health records systems such as Epic is beneficial but not required.
