OverviewWe are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to providing modern preventive care. You will play a key role in patient education, diagnosis, and treatment, supporting both the patient and dentist in the pursuit of optimal oral health.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive oral health assessments, including evaluation of periodontal conditions and oral cancer screening.
Utilize Periodontal Grading and Staging system.
Administer preventive and therapeutic treatments, including scaling, root planing, prophy and polishing.
Take and process high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays).
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, periodontal disease, and prevention strategies.
Collaborate with the dentist to develop treatment plans for patients.
Administer local anesthesia when needed (based on certification).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards.
Accurately document patient records and charting.
Apply pit and fissure sealants, fluoride treatments, and other protective agents.

Skills and Qualifications

Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of North Carolina.
Proficiency in scaling and root planing, radiography, local anesthesia, and use of the Cavitron.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate and advocate for patient health.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently while being a team player.
Positive attitude and passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Familiarity with dental software (experience with Oryx is a plus, training will be provided).
CPR certification is required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day.
Manual dexterity and vision acuity for detailed work.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
Must be physically able to administer CPR.

Employment Details

Full-time position available.
33-35 hours per week (Full-time).
Competitive pay: $47.00 - $55.00 per hour, based on experience.
Benefits package includes:
