Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Lafayette, CO

Camp Little Tooth is seeking an experienced, friendly and detail-oriented, Dental Front Desk & Insurance Coordinator to join our Camp team! This role will be split between the front desk at our brand new Tongue Tie and Airway Center, conveniently located across from our Pediatric Dental Clinic, and insurance coordination duties at the Pediatric Dental Clinic. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding patient service while managing front desk operations and assisting with insurance verification, claims processing, and patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Responsibilities (Tongue Tie and Airway Center - fee for service clinic)
Greet and check in patients.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient coordination.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Collect payments and ensure accurate patient account records.
Assist with patient forms, consent documents, and pre/post appointment paperwork.
Insurance Coordination Responsibilities (Pediatric Dental Clinic)
Work closely with the Office Manager to ensure smooth insurance operations.
Verify patients' dental insurance benefits and eligibility.
Submit and track insurance claims, ensuring timely processing.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and work with insurance companies to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records.
Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- MUST have at least 1 year prior experience in the dental industry
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of dental practice operations
- Familiarity or experience with dental practice management systems. Experience with Open Dental a plus!
- knowledge of dental codes and terms
- excellent verbal and communication skills
-experience and knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite
- Attention to detail, great organizational skills, ability to multi-task and passion for working with children and their families are key for success in this position.
