Dental Assistant - Vegas Dentist - Las Vegas, NV

We are looking for a motivated dental assistant to work with our amazing doctor. Patient experience is our priority. As a dental assistant, you’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. We are searching for someone that is willing to learn from the lead assistant. Someone that is highly organized with great attention to detail and able to function at a high level in a busy practice. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office policies and be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and ensuring procedures run as smoothly as possible.

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities

Welcome patients and seat them for treatment
Prepare patients for treatments, ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed for the procedure
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the operatories clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Dental Assistant Requirements

At least 3 years of dental assistant experience
Proven experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge with Itero scanning
Knowledge on packing cord
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Able to take full mouth x-rays
knowledge on setting up for endo and implant
Understanding of health & safety regulations
The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well organized and reliable
High school diploma, & graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Additional certification or training is an asset ( e.g.EFDA)
Proficient in Spanish is a plus
