Dental Clinical Assistant, Full Time - Beautiful Smiles By Design - Dalton, GA

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Dental Assistant at our Dalton location in Georgia who will,

provide appropriate oral health services to patients and families.
assist the Dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including, but not limited to, taking/developing dental radiographs (x-rays) and preparing/sterilizing instruments and equipment for patient use.

Essential Functions:

Ensures patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
Conducts patient history and takes blood pressure & pulse.
Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist's use.
Provides patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as a restoration (filling).
Is knowledgeable in the basic dental assisting functions like, restorative and surgical assisting, tray set up, sterilization.
Knowledge of implants and orthodontics a plus.
Prepares patients for services, documents procedures and assists with other office management activities, such as, scheduling patients, as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Can work at least one Saturday after a couple of months.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
Education:

High School Education/GED or equivalent: (Required)
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA): (Required)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: (Preferred)
