Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental team at The Rector Family Dental and Orthodontics . The EFDA will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and performing expanded functions as allowed by state regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to patient satisfaction. Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 8:00a-5:00p Requirements: EFDA, Xray, Coronal Polishing Certifications KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Assistance: Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials required for patient treatment. Ensure a clean and sterile working environment by following infection control protocols. Expanded Functions: Perform expanded duties such as placing and contouring restorations, taking impressions, and applying sealants, as permitted by state law. Conduct preliminary charting of the oral cavity and take dental radiographs (X-rays).
