OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a sterile environment to promote optimal health outcomes.
Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and prosthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
Utilize 3D scanning technology for dental impressions when necessary.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by making children feel comfortable during visits.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist in scheduling appointments.
Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve systems and processes within the practice.

Skills

Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of dental terminology.
Experience with X-ray technology and ability to perform radiographic procedures.
Familiarity with 3D scanning tools for accurate dental impressions is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and treatment plans.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and staff members.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
