As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in assessing patients' oral health, educating them on proper dental hygiene practices, and assisting in various dental procedures. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional dental care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as per treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care, including pediatrics when necessary.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in infection control procedures and protocols.
Experience with patient assessment techniques and taking vital signs.
Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of medical coding is a plus for effective record management.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
