```Duties```- Train students on how to assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the patient, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist- Teach students how to take and record vital signs of patients, such as blood pressure and pulse rate- Lead students through discussion on how to provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety- Provide students direction on taking dental impressions and X-rays as directed by the dentist- Show students how to perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and processing X-ray films- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory, sterilize instruments, and disinfect surfaces- Educate students on how to teach patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
```Qualifications```- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with students in a professional manner
