Job Overview NEED BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) DENTAL ASSISTANT We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support dental practitioners in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic dental setting, utilizing a wide range of skills including chairside assisting, medical documentation, and infection control. Prior experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; document medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient flow by greeting patients as they arrive and preparing them for examinations or procedures Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and OSHA guidelines Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care plans Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless clinic operations and high-quality patient care Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; experience with dental clinic software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus Strong understanding of medical documentation, medical coding, and electronic health record management Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Certification or training in dental assisting is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are advantageous Knowledge of 3D scanners or advanced imaging technology is a plus Join our team to provide compassionate dental care while advancing your professional skills in a supportive environment focused on excellence in patient service.
