Job Type: Full-Time
Dental team seeks a personable, energetic, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist with a heart for public health to join us as the newest member of our exemplary team.
The clinic is a non-profit dental practice that has been in business for over 20 years. Our clinic continues to provide affordable, high-quality, comprehensive services with 13 operatories and a mobile clinic with 2 operatories.
Work schedule are 8:00 to 5:00, four days per week. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, and the hygienist would work Tuesday-Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
· Providing prophylactic care appropriate for patient needs for adults and children.
· Providing nutritional counseling.
· Demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques.
· Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for the dentists.
· Patient and community dental education presentations.
· Dental screenings and assessments in schools and daycares.
· Performing all functions defined under the provisions of a registered Dental Hygienist as defined by NC dental laws and clarified by the Oral Health Section of the NC Department of Health and Human Services for a public health hygienist.
