Permanent Dentist Job in Blacksville, WV

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team. The person in this role will provide high-quality, non-specialized professional dental care and treatment to patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry and be proficient in various dental procedures.
Requirements:
Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine from an approved dental school
Possession of a license to practice dentistry in the State of West Virginia as issued by the Board of Dental Examiners
Must have passed the National Boards
Duties:
Develop plans of care for each patient, including: complete medical and dental history, a dental examination, diagnosis of any pathology or injury, appropriate treatment or referral when necessary.
Stresses the importance of preventive dentistry and utilizes all available resources to aid in diagnosing and confirming or denying the presence of the disease
Practice family dentistry by caring for all family members, including adults and pediatric patients
Adheres to OSHA, emergency preparedness, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
Confers with consulting dentists and/or physicians, the patient or patient's guardians concerning treatment and care of patient.
Refers those cases which require specialist services, but will maintain responsibility for assuring that those services are required.
Assist the CEO in planning, directing, and coordinating delivery of dental services, and works to constantly improve the system in ways that are sensitive to the needs of the patients and staff.
Maintains patient records.
Supervises the performance of the dental hygienist in the execution of his/her duties and supervises his/her dental assistant.
Skills:
Evaluate, diagnose, provide preventive & therapeutic oral healthcare to patients of all ages
Orofacial Examination - Extraoral and Intraoral Head & Neck
Diagnosis and Management of oral and perioral lesions and anomalies
Evaluation and Treatment of Common oral diseases
Comprehensive restorative care including fixed and removable prosthetic techniques
Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma to primary, mixed and permanent dentitions
Intraoral and extraoral radiology and imaging, includes exposing and interpreting
Local anesthesia of intraoral and Perioral Tissues
Caries risk assessment
Assessment and Documentation of Oral dental neglect/abuse
Treatment Planning
Preventive Procedures/Education
Nutritional/dietary Counseling
Tobacco Cessation Counseling
Phone triage of questions (in-office)
Specialist Referral and follow up for other dental problems
TMJ evaluation and referral
Participation of school-based programs and health disparities collaboratives
CPR

Amalgam Restorations: Primary & Permanent Teeth
Resin Restorations: Primary & Permanent Teeth
Root Canal Therapy - Anterior & Bicuspid
Pulp Capping - Direct or Indirect
Vital Pulpotomy
Bleachinq - Vital or Nonvital
Veneers: Resin or Porcelain
Crowns: Metal, Porcelain, Stainless Steel, Transitional Acrylic
Complete & Partial Dentures- Conventional or Immediate or Overdentures or Interim
Denture Reline Procedure - Chair or Laboratory
Sedative Restorations
Non-surqical Periodontal Therapy
