Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Georgetown, TX

We are actively looking for a full-time Dental Assistant who demonstrates a strong work ethic, is experienced in dental sleep medicine, and restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and delivers excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our dentist in providing exceptional preventative, restorative dental care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist in various procedures, including general, cosmetic, orthodontic, and restorative dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
Take and process X-rays as needed, maintaining proper safety protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventative care.
Manage patient records, including updating medical history and treatment information.
Provide exceptional chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures.
Take, expose and record Dexis X-rays, Planmeca CBCT images, intra and extra oral photographs
Attend morning huddle at 6:35 am
Attend Thursday Team Meetings at 1:30 pm
Greet, prepare, and assist patients for their needed treatment
Use of Trios, Primescan and Omnicam scanners to scan and mill a variety of restorations as well as records for appliances and aligner therapies
Make preliminary impressions and fabricate custom impression trays when needed
Make retainers for post-orthodontic cases
Pour, trim, and polish study casts
Assist with inventory of supplies
Required Qualifications:
RDA License / X-ray license
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of infection control
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Coronal Polishing License (a plus)
CPR / First Aid (a plus)
Dentrix operating software, CEREC or scanner familiarity and experience (a plus)
Accommodate office hours: Mon-Thurs 6:30 am - 4:00 pm
