Dental Assistant - Pearl Dental Studio - Temple, TX

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Oryx (training will be provided).
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, assisting with the treatment of young patients and ensuring their comfort throughout procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Assist with endodontic and oral surgery procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques and tools.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus, showcasing the ability to work effectively with children.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is beneficial.
Knowledge of Oryx or similar dental management software is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
