Private practice in North Austin is looking for a part-time dental assistant. Please be proficient in FMX's and have a basic understanding of Eaglesoft. The ideal candidate will be able to start right away. Salary starts at $18-22 depending on experience. Our office offers monthly, quarterly, and yearly bonuses for meeting goals once full-time.

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist- Perform basic dental procedures such as cleanings and fillings- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Experience:- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred- Familiarity with dental procedures and terminology- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Skills:- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes is beneficial- Familiarity with medical imaging software for analyzing x-rays and other diagnostic images is a plus- Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately
